In the heart of the Pacific, where the word love translates to Lomani in Fijian, lies a serene island haven that encapsulates the very essence of an adults-only retreat.

Lomani Island Resort in Fiji offers an idyllic escape exclusively for adults, weaving the tranquillity of its secluded environment with the rich tapestry of Fijian culture. Lomani aptly describes the resort’s atmosphere, where peace and privacy are paramount, and romance permeates the air. But simply, it’s a must-stay experience whether you are in love, celebrating love or just looking for a self-love escape.

Lomani is free from the bustling energy of family resorts, with its child-free policy guaranteeing a calm, serene setting where guests can enjoy the harmony of a quiet beachfront without interruption. It makes for a perfect sanctuary for those seeking to renew their bonds (or simply savour solitude) in a luxurious tropical island setting.

Lomani’s incredible accommodation is further testament to its dedication to comfort and elegance for its guests. Every one of its 30 spacious suites and bures offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, complemented by direct beach access. For those wanting an extra layer of privacy and luxury, Lomani’s Beachfront Pool Bures include private plunge pools, expansive sundecks, and an outdoor shower, offering the ultimate in relaxation and seclusion.

The introduction of The Lomani Spa, set to open at the end of 2024, will mark a new chapter in Lomani’s commitment to guest wellness.

Founded on Lomani’s key pillars of sea, love, land and relaxation, the custom-designed spa will invite guests to treat their body like the temple it is – with a slight difference. The Lomani Spa is all about enjoying your experience, with ‘zero depravation’ as its core philosophy to help achieve true ‘holiday’ enlightenment on this wellness journey. An array of treatments will be available, designed to soothe the mind, body, and spirit, including unique massages that use exotic oils and techniques, reflective of the island’s healing traditions.

The Lomani Spa’s design will also incorporate elements of the natural environment and Fijian aesthetics, to create a peaceful retreat to achieve a deep sense of well-being. It’s guaranteed to be something special, designed to harmonise with the surrounding landscape, by using local materials and adopting a soothing aesthetic inspired by the local scenery. Its sophisticated colour palette of go-easy greens and earthy tones truly reflect the island’s natural elements, as will textural stone tiles and brushed brass and copper tones used throughout the space. It also doesn’t hurt that the spa will sit just steps away from Lomani’s stunning blue waters either, so for guests who prefer to simply hang back beachside to read or swim for a natural wellness hit, then that is always an option too.

Of course, Lomani does not just cater to those seeking tranquillity; it also offers an abundance of activities and experiences, all included in the stay. It’s only 20 minutes by boat from some of Fiji’s best surf breaks, including the famous Cloud Break, and with nearby vibrant reefs for snorkelling and diving, Malolo Lailai bay is a haven for water enthusiasts. Here, you can explore the underwater museum and engage with the Malolo Lailai Coral Conservation program, adding a touch of ecological awareness to your stay.

Adventure seekers and culture enthusiasts are equally entertained, with included offerings like local dolphin safaris, or exploring the rich Fijian heritage through village tours and traditional ceremonies. These activities not only enrich guests’ stays but also provide a deep connection to the island’s vibrant culture and natural beauty. Lomani itself offers a swimming pool and poolside bar, ultimately oozing a level of luxury, elegance, and privacy not found in today’s larger Fijian resorts.

Adding a touch of culinary romance, is Lomani’s beautiful onsite restaurant, Flame Tree. Of course, for something a little different and personal, guests can also enjoy a choice of customised ‘tailored for two’ experiences, enhancing every stay with unique dining opportunities designed to foster connection and create memorable moments.

Guests can indulge in the luxury of Breakfast in Bed, enjoying a lavish meal accompanied by stunning sea views. For a magical evening, a three-course Romantic Dinner on the beach sets the scene for an unforgettable night under the stars. Additionally, the Bean Bags & Bubbles experience offers a relaxed beachside setting with sparkling wine, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. A guest favourite is Lomani’s Sandbank Picnic providing an extraordinary dining adventure on a rising sandbank, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that captures the essence of island romance. These meticulously curated culinary encounters ensure that every moment at Lomani is not just spent but savoured.

HOW TO GET THERE

Situated 20km west of Fiji’s Viti Levu, Lomani Island Resort is easily accessible from Nadi International Airport. Guests can choose your mode of arrival – be it plane, helicopter, seaplane, private water taxi, or the Malolo Cat ferry (which is the most popular option). The ferry takes just 50-minutes directly to Malolo Lailai Island and operates four times per day, departing from Denarau Marina with courtesy shuttle bus transfers easily available.
