Nauru Airlines is very excited to announce the return of the Island Hopper service.

Local businesses, families and tourists can now enjoy a same day service from Brisbane through to Pohnpei and return.

This is a new opportunity and potentially opens a new travel destination for Australians.

As the Central and North Pacific readies itself for more tourists and inter-island travel, Nauru Airlines has found an easy solution for those wishing to travel throughout the region for shopping, visiting relatives and friends, study and holidaying.

Nauru Airlines Chief Executive Officer Robert Eoe said the airline was excited to return to Fiji, Kiribati, Republic of Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia.

“We want to expand our Central Pacific services to everyone and provide accessibility and excellent service on all our routes.

“Our goal is to unite the Pacific Community, connecting the Islands and bringing people together,” Mr Eoe said.

Initially the service will operate fortnightly from Brisbane, to Nauru, Tarawa, Majuro and Pohnpei on Sunday, and returning Monday.

“Our Fiji service commenced on the 23rd of October and will operate monthly in the lead up to Christmas,” the CEO said.

“We appreciate there is disappointment that our flights from Pohnpei and Majuro and Tarawa are not connecting through to Nadi. This is just the first stage of the return of these services, and this will be reviewed in the coming months.

“Our staff and handlers are looking forward to welcoming passengers to the unique ports we service as an airline.”

A return of services to the Central and Northern Pacific allows the airline to forge better bonds with its closest neighbours and will give Nauruans the opportunity to travel and work throughout the region.
