The Projects Collective
Laura Cahir as the owner of The Projects Collective Fiji on the Coral Coast and recently also Nadi, says “one of my five key pillars in creating this brand was ‘what are my five favourite things’ (which I had to cull from about 50,000) to add to my own store of favourite things. The whole essence of what I wanted to create was based around what I love and what is missing in Fiji, in particular the Coral Coast. So having said that, here are my top five.”

May 4, 2024- Favourite coffee – There was no coffee at all on the Coral Coast when we opened and now I can proudly say that my own coffees, thanks to my baristas and Bula Coffee are my favourite thing.
- Favourite cocktail – Pina Coladas. When I first landed on Fiji I never found one I liked. So I set our with my head mixologist/barista/guru of all things local Talei and we created the perfect recipe.
- Favourite seasoning – Salt. I do love a good bake off and I will admit when I moved here I was one of ‘those travellers’ that came with their own pink salt grinder in bag. Enter South Seas Salt and I no longer have to smuggle salt into the country
- Favourite beauty product – Dilo Up. I will admit before moving here, I was a Moroccan oil gal through and through, I went through litres of it, on my hair and body, I had never heard of Dilo until landing here in 2015, now I can’t get enough. And we are on board with our favourite suppliers of single origin Dilo, from Rotuma, called Hefau oil.
- Favourite read – Tuis Gang: even without having my own 4 year-old who thinks he’s a cross between Tui and Moana, these books and the creative behind them rock. Each one tells a unique part of Fijian language, counting, colours or a story with meaning
